Just Not Doin' It...Sox Lose Yet Again, 11-8 to Indians (Game 159, '08)

Even with the Twins' loss, the Sox could not capitalize, even after scoring 8 runs.  US Cellular Field is a lively ballpark, but it plays the same to both sides.  That means the Sox pitching has to be that much better than the opposition if they want to win.  It wasn't tonight. Danks had a rare bad outing, and the bullpen has virtually ceased to exist. If the Sox don't pitch they will never win another game this year.  Ozzie's postgame comments revealed he broke some things in his office.  I know he's angry.  He sounded resigned.  He has to play nursemaid to these grown men who cannot pitch anymore for some reason.  When it isn't happening, it isn't happening.  Why the underperformance? Who knows?  I think Ozzie needs to have some accountability, but ultimately, it's on the players.  They simply cannot get it done, and I don't think there is anything Ozzie and the fans can do but watch or...not watch.
