Sox Sweep Twins With 7-5 Win on Perfect Homestand (Game 64, '08)

I knew it would be the best case scenario - for the Sox to sweep the Twins in a four-game set and be up 6.5 games in the Central Division.  I didn't know if it would happen, and would have been happy with 3 out of 4.  But I'll take the perfect homestand.  Home runs, solid pitching, and plenty of offense have helped the White Sox thrive at home.  They will hopefully take the power show on the road now as they play next in Detroit.  They have always played well in Comerica, and that will hopefully continue tomorrow.  Great to see Nick Swisher breaking out, raising his batting average substantially at home, and knocking a couple over the wall from both sides of the plate.

It is pretty clear to me this team can pitch with any team certainly in this division, and probably in all of baseball.  Now that they have been hitting, they may be able to hit with the best of them too.  If that continues to happen with any consistency for the rest of the season, the White Sox should make the postseason and have a shot at the crown once again.
