Sox Get a Win 9-5 over KC (Game 58, '08)
It was good to see the Sox get back in the win column with last night's thumping of the Royals. While beating up on the Royals may not seem like much of an accomplishment with the way KC has been playing lately, Zach Grienke has been solid this year, and never an easy guy for the White Sox to face. They managed 8 earned runs off him last night, while Gavin Floyd only allowed 2 earned runs over 7 innings. The ball was flying out of the yard, with Swisher finally hitting one out, Quentin doing what he does - now with 15 home runs and 50 RBI on the season. Alexei Ramirez appears to not want to leave the starting lineup, and with the way he has been playing on both sides of the ball, with another homerun last night, it doesn't look like he will be leaving the everyday lineup just yet. He just might have played himself into a starting job. I hope so. Two more with KC, then the Twins come to town. It will be interesting to see how things shape up in the division standings by the end of this weekend.
