Bringing the Heat...Sox Crush Twins Again 12-2 (Game 63, '08)
Feast or famine. Hot or cold. Good or bad. It seems the White Sox offense in 2008 is either one or the other, and rarely in the middle. For now, this offense is scorching hot, plating 10 or more runs for three games straight now, this time on a warm a muggy day in Chicago. Incredible. I will not venture to guess whether this sudden outburst of offense is a direct result of Ozzie's tirade after the awful Tampa Bay series, but whatever it is, I wish they could bottle it up and take it whenever the need a little 'Instant offense.' Gavin Floyd gave up just 2 earned over 7 innings. Fantastic. Instead of getting too high with the highs or low with the lows, this team is steadily growing in its stature as the team to beat in this division, now with a 5.5 game lead and 10 games over .500. If they can sweep the Twins tomorrow, they could be 6.5 games up in the division before the end of tomorrow evening.
