Michael Young to the White Sox?
While news on the north side of a blockbuster deal for Soriano reverberated around town yesterday, the White Sox have yet to make their biggest move(s). Of course, being only one full season removed from a World Championship, there are not too many moves that probably need be made. One pitcher is going to be moved, or that is what we have heard ever since the beginning of the '06 season. The question is whom will it be? What will the White Sox get in return?
Michael Young at shortstop would be fantastic, and everyone knows the Rangers never have enough pitching to compete year after year, so... why not offer some pitching to them in exchange for the great Michael Young? He is definitely one of Ozzie's favorite ballplayers. And he absolutely kills the White Sox. That is a guy I would love to see on the White Sox. I think he would be a better fit than A-Rod. He's an impact guy who almost singlehandedly gave home-field advantage to the American League in the World Series with a huge clutch hit with two outs in the 9th inning of the 2006 All Star Game. If anyone could get him here, Kenny could.
