Buehrle Masterful, Sox Offense Enough to Top Twins 6-1
This was a nice bounceback after losing the lousy Kansas City series to start the homestand. The White Sox starting pitching has been very good overall, with another masterful start from Mark Buehrle. The more I watch him, the more impressed I am with what he has achieved and continues to achieve as a pitcher, without the high velocity, he moves the ball around, and keeps hitters off balance. He has typically fared well against the Twins, and today was no exception. The offense was just enough too, with a Dye solo homer , and a Thome home run with one on. It was good to see Fields and Quentin knock in a couple runs as well. I would have preferred a better than .500 homestand, but I like the better baseball the Sox have played over the past couple games. On to Detroit tomorrow.
