Sox Beat Jays With Pitching, Small Ball 6-5 (Game 145, ’08)

Well, Bobby Jenks certainly made it interesting in the ninth inning, but the Sox held on to get a much-needed win.  It was good to see Jerry Owens execute a perfect sacrifice bunt and a stolen base.  Ozzie decided to go with a different look, with Wise and Owens in the lineup. It worked last night.  We will see if he will want to try the same thing again in the finale of the series with the Jays.  It is good to hear Konerko’s injury is not as serious as it might have been.  I’m hoping he will be back soon.  I believe the White Sox will need him to do well.
